I’m Chris, Co-Founder of We Speak Dog and creator of our Virtual Training service. From a young age, I understood the profound impact our actions can have on others—a revelation that has guided me toward roles in coaching, teaching, and mentoring. Though I didn’t grow up with dogs, a chance encounter with a disc dog competition in my mid-to-late twenties sparked a lifelong passion for dog training. At the time, I was building a career in IT solutions, where I focused on developing relationships, building value, and solving problems with integrity. Alongside my corporate work, I immersed myself in dog sports, obedience training, and eventually complex behavioral training. As my skills grew, so did my career, leading me to coach and train new hires in both professional and personal growth. In 2019, I made the decision to fully commit to my passion, retiring from IT to focus entirely on working with dogs and their owners.

In 2020, I co-founded We Speak Dog with my partner Alyssa and joined Stunt Dog Productions as a self-contained performance team, training our own pack of up to 15 dogs—often evaluating and training fosters to either keep or find a “forever home.” Locally, we provided critical training for families in need, partnering with rescues and shelters to work with high-risk dogs, address basic obedience and behavioral challenges, and support other trainers in the community. I’ve been fortunate to learn from and work with incredible trainers worldwide, immersing myself in reputable theories and methodologies and applying them in real-world scenarios. I’ve also performed at high-profile events like NFL halftime shows, traveled internationally to grow the disc dog community, and contributed to viral dog training videos, paid courses, and seminars. Through it all, I’ve been inspired to see how the values that guided my corporate journey resonate just as strongly in my work with dogs.

In late 2024, we felt it was time to modernize how We Speak Dog serves our community and advances our mission. Now the sole operator, I’ve developed a platform designed to fundamentally transform the value we bring to dog owners. These days, I split my time between performing with Alyssa and our dogs, delivering local training services in Ludington, MI, training virtually, and managing our Virtual Dog Training Program.
